most vendors have reasonable shipping prices but some charge way more than it costs to ship the item.... i seen a half pound shipped from canada cost 180 dollars to ship to the usa. thats rediculous. somehow if the sr staff could make it so people cant charge way more than the actual cost of shipping that would be awesome!! thanks

Unless the Vendor in Question is spending those funds on some Extraordinary Stealth that Vendor is most likely breaking the rules, refer to the thread Clarification on Shipping Options: http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=181467
As for how the process would go to actually prove it's being abused I'm not sure, but I would assume it would work something to the effect people Report the Vendor in Question and after enough Reports Silk Road Support/Administrators simply revoke their Vending Privileges.

no of course not but you eve browse through a category looking for a decent deal and you see something that is just in your price range and a good deal and then you decide to buy it and lets say its a qp of some green for 725 or something and then you see shipping is 50 dollars for domestic priority and you cant afford it... it does get annoying. i seen a half pound from canada that cost a little under 1300 and the shipping was like 160 bucks for priority to the usa. thats crazy.

It sounds like the bigger issue here is Silk Road doesn't have the capacity to List the Price with Shipping Included, which would have solved this. With the complicated way it's working currently where each Product must have at least one Shipping and where each Vendor have their own separate Systems where one usually only has to pay Shipping for one Product and the Rest is Free this would most likely be hard to fix without redoing the whole system. Another aspect is some actually use the Expensive Shipping Options for making Advanced Types of Stealth, I think the best solution in this regard would be having multiple "charges" added to a Product and Shipping would stay purely for shipping, another "charge" could be Advanced Stealth or a variation of the Product itself ( if one reads the thread I linked something like this is currently not possible and not allowed either ).

ya i wanna say thanks for the link to that thread... pretty much cleared things up for me. basically a vendor is not allowed to charge more than it would cost them to ship the item, which i know a few vendors that are charging a lot more than what it is costing them to ship.

I would just look else where and not pay the shipping costs, they will lower when there are no sales.

Its outrageous. On inelastic items like heroin the shipping up chrge is the worst. I was browsing the road for some smack and i saw somoe bags for like 10 bucks so im like eh i just want to feel it dont care about quality. So I add a couple to my cart and the shipping cost the same as the drugs. Needless to say I declare the seller an asshole who takes advantage of smackheads. So I ordered from a different vendor with 3 bags and shipping. In total the cost was less than I would have paid for two.

the fucked up part about it is some customers defend the vendor saying its still only 950 a qp with 50 dollars shipping so its a good price. idk why anyone would think paying 50 for shipping is ok when it really only costs like 8 bucks. Humboldtsfinest needs to get a warning about the shipping prices.
